Hello. My name is Selina McIntyre and I have a enormous passion for dogs.
I wish to make the dogs I meet as happy as they do me. Consequently, I have made this passion my work, as a Dog Behaviourist.
I am very busy with my behavioural consultancy in the Auckland area as I am referred by many veterinarians, groomers, petshops etc.
I am often called a 'Dog Whisperer'. It is true; I feel completely at ease in the company of dogs. They form part of my family (as my husband Ross well knows).
I have conducted seminars and talks on dog behaviour and training and get a real thrill out of sharing my dog world with people.
*A good behaviourist or trainer has true empathy and strength with dogs. Unfortunately, you can pay hundreds of dollars to a 'qualified' practitioner and not get the services of a person who has these qualities. Look deeper and question past the list of qualifications and fancy marketing to get a good feel for the practitioner in question.
*Also enquire further about listings with associations because for some of them you could join to the same level yourself!
